Davis, Yolei, Cody, TK, and Kari go to the DigiWorld to defeat
the Digimon Emperor. When they get there, the Digimon Emperor
attacks with a group of Tyrannomon. The three armor-digimon are
outnumbered, so Cody, TK, and Kari head off in search of two
digieggs the digivices reported were nearby. These digieggs have
the Crests of Hope and Light on them. At their digimon's urging,
TK and Kari go to the new digieggs. Their digivices glow and
transform into the newer version Davis, Yolei, and Cody have.
They then lift the new digieggs and Patamon and Gatomon armor-digivolve
into Pegasusmon and Nefertimon, respectively. These new digimon
defeat the Tyrannomon, and the new DigiDestined return to the
real world.
- What is Cody still trying to eat in the cafeteria?
- What did Cody's dad tell him was the only reason to throw
food away?
After waiting a week between the previous episode and this
one, I was glad to wrap up the transition from season one to
season two. I had wondered what they'd show during Patamon and
Gatomon's armor-digivolutions, and I was happy with the way it
turned out. I love the new idea of an attack shared between two
digimon, like Pegasusmon and Nefertimon's "Golden Noose."
I give it a 9.
- "Hold on, I'm still taking a spelling test." -
Gatomon
- "Smells like Davis." - Demiveemon
"Are you saying I stink?" - Davis
- "This is the best thing I've eaten in my whole life,
all two days of it!" - Upamon
- "Ken's talents include being able to play one game
of chess while everyone watches." - TV Reporter
- "He may be stupid, but he's still a genius." -
Davis
- "I even labelled the toilet." - Ken's mother,
commenting on her new label maker
- "Oh, it's light!" - Kari when she picks up her
digiegg (the double meaning here was great)
- COMMERCIAL ONE
- Elecmon is being chased by the Digimon Emperor in the
beginning of this episode. He's obviously afraid and
trying to get away. The thing is, the Digimon Emperor is
alone. Elecmon could shock him with his Super Thunder
Strike pretty easily. Once he calls on Tuskmon, there's a
reason to be afraid, but before that he shouldn't have
been.
- At the beginning of the episode, there's no reason to
believe that TK and Kari are part of the new group. Only
Davis, Yolei, and Cody are obviously new DigiDestined,
but everyone seems to include TK and Kari in that group
before they get the new digivices and digieggs. Of
course, if they weren't included, they probably wouldn't
have gone to the DigiWorld in the first place, and there
wouldn't have been an episode. ^_^
- Halsemon's "Tempest Wing" attack is now
something different from what it was originally. The
attack he uses here will be later called "Eagle Eye".
- COMMERCIAL TWO
- "Tempest Wing" is again different.
Digmon's "Gold Rush" is also different, but
will be called "Rock Cracking" in the next
episode.
- TK and Kari never said "digi-armor, energize"
after picking up their new digieggs, but Patamon and
Gatomon digivolved anyway.
- When Nefertimon and Pegasusmon show up at the battle and
drop off TK, Kari, and Cody, Ken says he'll soon stop
that armor-digivolving too. The Tyrannomon then all
attack with their Blaze Blast. When it hits, you can see
that it's the same place they were standing before, but
suddenly only Nefertimon and Pegasusmon are there. The
kids just sort of vanished for no reason.
- "Star Shower" later becomes "Wind Mane,"
and then that later becomes "Mane Wind."
- "Rosetta Stone" here becomes "Queen Paw"
later on.
- COMMERCIAL THREE
- After the Tyrannomon are defeated, the Digimon Emperor
seems to have vanished. He had been right there for the
entire battle, but he's gone at the end for no apparent
reason.
- A cherry tomato
- If it smelled bad
